Technical Writer

You want to get the job done from a beach house in California? That’s great. Just bring your A-game and your laptop. Having your butt in a seat for eight hours each day is not a part of this role at Sisu.

As a Technical Writer for Sisu, you will ensure that your copy, Loom’s and the “voice” of each development sprint has not only a relaxed sales and marketing tone but is illustrative and useful for customers, prospects and our own team to elevate their knowledge of Sisu.

This is what you can expect working at Sisu in this role & our ideal candidate;

- 1 to 3 years experience in SaaS industry is ideal.

- You will work closely with the development team on each development sprint and will be the voice of the customer and the Custom Success organization. We want you to vocalize if the functionality designed can be better presented to ensure that the requirement for KB’s, videos, are limited in use (i.e. if the UX doesn’t explain the use - we can do better). 

- Functionally you will be working in our Customer Success organization, but you will be working cross functional with development, sales and marketing as your collateral will be used in multiple areas for multiple purposes.

- You will work closely with senior leadership. Don’t placate. We want your critical, professionally delivered feedback.

- You won’t be micromanaged, you will be held accountable by our development sprints not a clock. 

- Your writing skills should be impeccable. We want you to own and elevate our KB's, automated responses, and Sisu Product Tours. We use Intercom for our Knowledge Base system, automated responses and plan to use it for our Sisu Product Tours.

- Get comfortable doing a lot of Loom videos to explain key features with video. Those videos will be used in marketing campaigns and embedded website pages.

- We will trust you to make smart decisions, and when you don’t, we will ask “What did you learn, and what could you have done differently?”

Interview Process
We would love to get an idea of your writing and video skills. If you have a portfolio that you can share that highlights your writing and video skills send it our way. If you do not have a portfolio or you can't provide due to confidentiality or proprietary reasons, pick your favorite SaaS product, a topic and send us a KB writeup with a corresponding Loom video. We will develop our short list of candidates after reviewing all KB's and videos. Good luck! 🍀
